They entered cloistered communities or they returned to their families, their
parishes and their professions in the world. These women were changed by their
lives within the congregation---they absorbed the spirituality, the desire to be
a
contemplative, compassionate presence to all, especially  the most needy, the
outcast and the powerless." (Constitutions Chapter 1, 7).
They became an army of lay missioners with the soul of the Missionary Sisters of
the Immaculate Conception, the unintended consequence of that same formation.
Where are we today? Loving and serving all over the world--in mainland China, in
Brazil, in Africa, in Taiwan, in Germany, in the United States. This year we all
celebrate with you in thankful joyful prayer for SMIC, for who we are because of
you!
