Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception

On the following day, during Mass, we were presented to the Bishop of Malange, Dom Luis Maria.  After  Mass, we went to our house accompanied by the friars, the people of the community. With much solemnity, our house was blessed and the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception  in the Diocese of Malange, were officially recognized.

We have chosen as the title of our Community Mamã Muxima a title lovingly given to Our Blessed Lady, who has the heart of a mother.  In Angola, motherhood that assumes the life giving sustenance of the family, is a highly valued and respected role of woman. In this title, we honor the Angolan woman and her devotion to Mary

Ministries Begin....Anxious to begin to serve the parish community, the Sisters lost no time in seeking out ministries that they could either begin right away or prepare for.  Prior to accepting the mission in Malange/Katepa/Tamba, the friars had pointed out various needs.  When the Sisters arrived, it became clear who and what would become the direction for each one.
