FEBRUARY 2010
Sr. Nelisia accepted the role of supervisor of education at the school in
Tamba. It is a community about
15 kilometers distant from the SMIC house in Malange.
The school has 3 classrooms with about 200 children enrolled and many
more wanting admission. The expectation is that St. Anthony
school will grow to meet the urgent need of a basic education for
children.
Sr. Lucia is preparing herself by interning with the Sisters of St. Joseph
to understand the health practices of Angolan citizens.
When prepared, she will be ready to serve in a health post already
constructed but empty in Tamba and as well, serve the health needs of other
outlying mission posts of the parish.
Sr. Eulina is receiving a preparation for taking on the management of a
diocesan catechetical center
that is currently being constructed.
The center had been inactive
since the destruction that occurred during the days of Angola’s civil
war days.
