After meeting monthly for 9 months to dig deeper into the roots of our Franciscan tradition, our Young Professed took a symbolic action of the planting of a tree at the US Province Cemetery. 

Under the guidance of Sister. Eleanor Goekler and Joanne Riggs and accompanied by Sr. Leonilda Cypriano, Sisters Camilla Li, Gleisiane Tavera, Roseli Oliveira, Jessica Xie  with our other student Sisters Odilia Guo Emmanuel Yang, Michelle Liu were instrumental in bringing a  proposal (accompanied with a video) to the General Chapter reflective of their stance and challenge to the Congregational Chapter Members to adopt steps to heal the  injury to creation caused by our carbon footprints by education and action.
